    How to pick a great goal song

    • Front-load the hook. A goal song has about two seconds before the celebration is over — start on the chorus or the horn.
    • Keep clips 8–15 seconds so the ref isn't waiting on your sound system to fade out.
    • Use instrumental arena mixes for anything with borderline lyrics. Rink speakers are loud and the stands are full of siblings.
    • Give the goalie one too. A shutout deserves its own song at the final buzzer.
