1. Who we are

Game Day Songs, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is the data controller responsible for the information collected through the GameDay Songs website and mobile web app (collectively, “the Service”). 2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information when you use the Service:

• Account information: name, email address, and authentication details when you sign in with Google or create an account.
• Profile information: state or team information you choose to provide.
• Usage data: how you interact with the Service, such as lineup edits, player names, and playback activity.
• Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and timestamps.
• Communication data: messages you send to our support team or feedback forms.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Process payments and subscriptions
• Respond to support requests and communicate with you
• Maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse
• Understand usage trends and improve the product experience

4. Legal basis for processing

We process personal information based on one or more legal grounds: performance of a contract with you (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, and product improvement), your consent (where required), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Google LLC / YouTube: we use Google API Services and the YouTube IFrame Player to search for and play videos. See Section 6 for details on how YouTube API Services are used.
• Service providers: hosting, authentication, analytics, and customer support tools that process data on our behalf.
• Paddle.com: our Merchant of Record for payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers: legal, accounting, or other advisers when necessary to protect our rights or comply with the law.
• Authorities: when required by law, regulation, or legal process.

6. YouTube API Services

GameDay Songs uses YouTube API Services to provide its core features, including searching the YouTube catalog for walk-up, goal, and between-inning songs and playing those videos through the YouTube embedded player.

When you use these features, the following applies:

• Data accessed via YouTube API Services: when you search for a song we receive only the public video metadata (title, channel, thumbnail, and video ID) needed to display search results and play the video. We do not access or store your YouTube account, watch history, subscriptions, or liked videos unless you explicitly import a playlist from your own library, in which case we read only the playlist and video IDs you select.
• How we use it: the video ID and title you choose are saved to your roster so the same song can be replayed without another search. Search queries are sent to YouTube only when you actively search; saved songs are replayed directly from their stored video ID.
• Storage and retention of YouTube API data: the only YouTube API data we keep is the video ID, title, channel name, and thumbnail URL of songs you choose. Cached search results are stored on your device and are automatically deleted within 7 days — well inside the 30-day maximum required by the YouTube API Services Developer Policies — and any song reference saved to a roster is refreshed from the YouTube API when it is displayed again, or deleted immediately when you remove the song or delete your account. We store no other YouTube API data, and it is never shared with advertising services or used to build advertising profiles.
• Playback: songs are streamed directly from YouTube through the official embedded player. Playback quality, ads, and availability are controlled by YouTube and the rights holder; GameDay Songs does not download, cache, or redistribute video content.
• User content: we do not upload, modify, or create content on your behalf to YouTube.
• Google’s policies: your use of YouTube API Services is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. For Google-specific privacy questions, see https://policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Some features may not function properly if you disable essential cookies.

8. Data retention

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will remove or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or security reasons.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us at support@gamedaysongs.com.

10. Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption, access controls, and secure hosting. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for coaches, parents, and adult team organizers. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verifiable parental consent, we will delete that information promptly.

12. Changes to this Privacy Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will post the revised version and update the “Last updated” date. Please review it periodically.
